Comments:
Thanks to K3LR and K1LZ, for giving us someone to 'chase'. It makes you perform
better.
'Would-a, could-a, should-a' is a well known phrase here.
As many have already stated, you really couldn't ask for better conditions.
Obviously, the high bands were the highlight of the weekend and it shows in
everyone's scores.
Have never worked as many JA's as this weekend; they seemed to be everywhere.
This was our highest QSO total EVER! And, I was very pleased that we kept up
with the multipliers.
We were a bit 'hamstrung' with operators, with many having to be part time due
to other commitments.
As usual, we ate well, but I refused to use the propane griddle in below
freezing WX making breakfasts.
I stuffed the freezer with frozen 'hockey pucks', which seemed to work.
All the operators here at the Goat Farm, worked hard this weekend and the
results show that.
Started the contest, still having some antenna issues K7SV, N3AC, and I, have
been fighting all week.
Friday afternoon, the Tail Twister on one of my 10 meter antennas failed due to
a bad run cap, and no spare.
Always something... We have often said, 'Real world physics and engineering do
not apply at the Goat Farm'.
I think a good time was had by everyone here.
Thanks for all the Q's
