Goatfest August 22, 2015
A combination chapter meeting and open house was held at the NR4M Goat Farm
qth on Saturday 22 August 2015.
The brief meeting was called to order at 11AM.
Under new business Tom N4NW briefed the crowd on CQ widening the club circle
to 250 miles radius and how that may impact the club.
There was new business.
This was the first meeting for KJ4ADN, KC3FKL K4JK and WA3WEP all whom
	expressed interest in club membership.
This was the second meeting for W4NA and K4DJG. The chapter unanimously
voted them into membership. Paperwork forthcoming.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:30. Lunch consisting of barbeque pulled pork
and ribs, brats, and a huge variety of side dishes provided by attendees and
various beverages was served noonish. Steve has gotten his barbeque
technique to his (and most certainly our) liking!
Use of SO2R (single op two radio) was demonstrated by N2QT (rtty) and KD4D
(cw). Both drew great interest. Perhaps this will draw a few more of our
contesting brethren to the art. It takes some effort to set it up and
practice practice practice to learn it's effective use, but regardless of
your level of expertise, it will add to your score as long as it is used
wisely. For new users it certainly makes the Sunday doldrums during field
day and the latter hours of the NAQPs much more interesting.
In attendance in no particular order were:
	N4NW, K2WK, KJ4ADN, N1NCY, W0YR W4NA, KS4Q, W4ZAO, K4EU, KJ4ADQ, NC4S, KD4D,
	W4AKO, N4CF, W4OGH, AE4ML, K4GTF, W7IY, KK4JSU, N7TY, N2GTS, K4CUE, KE4WKX,
	W4PJW, K1HTV, KK4HUK, K4UQ, K4FJ, KN4ZQ, N8OQ, K4JK, K4ISW, KC4D, WA3WEP,
	KK4XX, K4EC, W3HMW, W2GPS, W6LWG, Mila, JEFF (attending classes with W6LWG),
	Don Broca (Also attending classes with W6LWG), K4IA, NN4RB, N4KCB, N4JOW,
	KD9LA, K3ZM, W4JAM, W2YE, K3TAM ND3N, W4XQ, Rich (perspective him), K4DJG,

	Saturday 22 Aug!), KA4RRU, N4UA, K4GM, K4GMH, KT3Y, N3QE, W3DQ, KB4EDU,
KK4RTF and of course NR4M. I have two busted calls in my notes. Either I
didn't hear the right (use phonetics folks!) or more than likely I can't
read my own hen scratches. What I have is K3TSA and K4MSR. I probably missed
a half dozen folks who arrived after the meeting.
Steve passes his thanks to all who attended and for the side dishes they
brought, and of course hopes all had a good time.
